Krista Dodson is a founding franchise owner of The Scalp Lounge USA and the visionary behind The Scalp Lounge USA – East Texas. Recognized as East Texas’ first scalp specialist, Krista’s journey reflects decades of experience, deep personal transformation, and an unwavering commitment to holistic beauty and wellness.
With over 26 years in the beauty industry, Krista built her career on technical excellence and client trust. But her path shifted profoundly more than 15 years ago, when a personal health scare in her early 30s led her to question the ingredients she was using—both professionally and personally. What she discovered sparked a turning point: a desire to move away from harsh chemicals and toward a more intentional, health-centered approach to care.
That awakening became the foundation of Kinspired Co., a luxury hair and scalp care concept rooted in the belief that healthy, beautiful hair starts at the root. Krista immersed herself in herbalism, began formulating her own skincare, and embraced a holistic philosophy that honors the connection between scalp health, overall wellness, and confidence.
Her continued education led her to specialized scalp facial and scalp health training, where everything aligned—her decades of hair expertise, her passion for wellness, and her mission to help others heal from the inside out. This realization—that true self-care must extend beyond the hairline—is what ultimately positioned Krista as a pioneer in scalp wellness for East Texas.
Becoming a founding franchise owner of The Scalp Lounge USA marked the natural evolution of Krista’s journey.
